Dr. Timothy Sumner attended Virginia Tech for two years and then transferred to Medical College of Virginia of V.C.U. Pharmacy School where he graduated in 1974 with a B.S. Pharmacy degree. After practicing pharmacy for three years, he enrolled in Medical College of Virginia of V.C.U. Dental School where he graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 1981. Dr. Sumner has practiced dentistry in and around the Northern Virginia area (mostly in Prince William County) since that time. He is married to his wife, Jane, the former Information Technology Coordinator for Battlefield High School in Haymarket, Virginia, and current office manager of Sumner Family Dentistry. They have two children. Son Jonathan is a graduate of the University of Richmond and a former captain in the U.S. Army. Daughter Lydia is a graduate of Virginia Tech and the Medical College of Virginia of V.C.U. The Sumners have resided in Manassas for over 30 years. Dr. Sumner is an enthusiastic golfer in his spare time and enjoys wood-working and small building projects at home.
