Dr Jonathan Greene

With over two decades of experience in clinical dentistry, Dr. Jonathan Greene brings seasoned expertise and a calm, compassionate presence to the care he provides. A graduate of Dalhousie University Faculty of Dentistry, Dr. Greene completed advanced training through a General Practice Residency at Hartford Hospital, where he honed his skills in comprehensive care. Since 2001, Dr. Greene has practiced in our region, with 6 years spent in Westerly, RI early in his career, and the past 18 years in Norwich, CT where he owned his own practice, Greene Dental Group. He believes that great dentistry starts with clear communication and care that’s tailored to each individual. To ensure his patients always receive the best possible care, Dr. Greene stays at the forefront of dentistry through advanced training. Dr. Greene is deeply committed to giving back—both nationally and locally. He proudly served on the board of the American Warrior organization, a group dedicated to honoring our nation’s veterans. Through this work, he’s participated in multiple Honor Flights, helping bring World War II and Korean War veterans to Washington, D.C. for a day of remembrance and gratitude. Closer to home, Dr. Greene was active in the Norwich Public Schools Wellness Committee, where he supported programs that promote healthier lifestyles for local children. He also volunteers with the Connecticut Mission of Mercy, offering free dental care to underserved individuals across the state. At Coastal Connecticut Dentistry, Dr. Greene offers a full range of general dental services, including laser dentistry, which he’s practiced for over eight years. His expertise includes fillings, crowns, bridges, implant restorations, dentures, whitening, and root canal therapy, with a focus on comfortable, minimally invasive techniques. Outside the office, Dr. Greene enjoys life on the coast with his wife, Karen, and their daughter Ella. A native of Rhode Island with deep New England roots he can trace back to 1635, he finds joy in the outdoors—fishing, boating, hiking, skeet shooting—and exploring the region’s rich history. Live music is an ongoing passion with attendance to many national acts like Dave Matthews Band and The Lumineers. He enjoys supporting local music from larger festivals to small venues.
