Mr Duane R. Weenig,

Dr. Weenig received his undergraduate degree at Brigham Young University in Provo, UT. He attended dental school at The University of Iowa in Iowa City, IA. He completed his periodontal residency at The University of Iowa, where he not only received his specialty certificate but also completed a master's degree in oral biology. Dr. Weenig taught in the senior and junior clinics at the College of Dentistry at The University of Iowa and has served as an adjunct faculty member as well. He was actively involved in research during dental school, and his residency program and has been published in The Journal of Periodontology. His research has included the relationships among periodontal disease, pregnancy and diabetes, dental implants, and periodontal tissues and disease. He is actively involved in continuing education, not only for himself and his staff, but provides continuing education for dentists and hygienists throughout western Colorado and eastern Utah. Dr. Weenig has been consistently named by his peers as one of Colorado's best dentists as reported by 5280 Magazine. He is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Dental Association, the Colorado Dental Association, and the Academy of Osseointegration.
