It is an absolute pleasure to be taking this journey of life with you; my family, friends, and patients. For those I haven’t had the privilege of meeting yet, I am genuinely looking forward to it! Between now and then, here’s a little about me. My name is Brockton Willey, and I have always believed that everyday should be treated as a gift – that’s why we call it the present. Like many of you, being intentional about this gift of life has been a priority for me. I have learned that from my father, who intentionally gave the best of care to every patient he treated. He guided my hand as I did my first extraction on a mission trip at age 13 and from that point on, I was certain my steps would take me to a career in dentistry. Growing up in central Illinois, my family was, and still is, everything to me. Though me and my three siblings were all adopted from different backgrounds and places, my mother and father were intentional about love that grows from the heart which gave our family a bond genetics can never equal. When I was in high school, I met the girl of my dreams. Her sweetness captured me, and I became very intentional about getting to know her. Following my bachelors degree in Biology from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan, I took a knee and asked Brooke to marry me. On the best day ever, she became my wife. I was intentional about choosing a dental school, and I pursued Loma Linda University, School of Dentistry, in Southern California. I graduated in 2015 and took my first associateship with my father for three years where I expanded my knowledge in general dentistry and became a diplomate in the treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnea along with extensive training in TMJ disorders. My wife, being a native of Michigan, meant this place was always our home away from home. And each time we visited, it pulled at our heart strings, we really wanted to live here! In 2018, I took on my second associateship in Grand Rapids, where I became intentional in expanding my knowledge and experience in the treatment of dental implants and Invisalign. These years of associateships were priceless as I grew in my profession and the many ways of helping people who are in pain, and those who have a desire for a change in their smile. Though Brooke and I, along with Franklin and Billy (our dogs) had a home, we longed for a dental home as well. A place where patients could settle down for a very long time, a place where every patient would be welcomed and carefully cared for. A place where I could provide dental care for every member of the family. We intentionally chose the East side of Grand Rapids to plant and grow “The Dental House.” If you have never found a dental home yet, let me welcome you. Yours in Service, Brockton Willey DDS
