Dr. Andrew (Avi) Lermer is deeply rooted in Long Island, having spent his life there, including his formative years in Fresh Meadows, Queens. His journey in dentistry began at SUNY Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine, where he earned his DDS degree in 2011. Dr. Lermer further honed his skills and knowledge through a General Practice Residency and a chief residency role at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset. Following this, he pursued advanced training in surgical implant placement and prosthetics at the same hospital, receiving extensive hands-on instruction from leading dental professionals. Dr. Lermer's commitment to excellence in dentistry is evident in his dedication to continuing education, including specialized training at the Dawson Academy under the guidance of Dr. Pete Dawson. Outside his practice, Dr. Lermer is deeply involved in community service. He participates in Give Kids a Smile Day, providing dental exams to children, and has volunteered with the United States Public Health Service's Indian Health Service division, offering dental care to underserved areas. Beyond dentistry, Dr. Lermer is a longstanding volunteer Emergency Medical Technician, serving in New York City and Nassau County for over 15 years.
