Born and raised in Anderson, SC, Dr. Ben Hardy took a slightly unconventional path to dentistry—starting with a degree in economics from Clemson University (Go Tigers!). He later found his true calling in dentistry and earned his DMD from the Medical University of South Carolina. After dental school, Dr. Hardy continued his education with an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center in Augusta, GA. During his time there, he received advanced training in implants, periodontics, and both fixed and removable prosthodontics. Beyond the clinical skills he gained, what he valued most was the opportunity to serve our nation’s veterans and give back to those who have given so much. His training also included rotations at the Augusta State Medical Prison, the Dental College of Georgia’s oral surgery department, and Fort Eisenhower Army Base, further expanding his experience in complex cases and diverse patient care. When he’s not helping patients achieve healthy smiles, Dr. Hardy enjoys spending time with his wife, Catherine, and their one-year-old daughter, Virginia. If he’s not in the office, there’s a good chance you’ll find him near the water—fishing, fixing up old boats, or just enjoying the outdoors.
