Dr. Thekkethottiyil (Dr.T) is committed to the highest standards and brings over a decade of experience to provide the most advanced dental care to her patients. Aspiring to have a career in dentistry in the U.S., she moved to the U.S. after completing her Bachelor's in Dental Surgery (B.D.S.) in India. Dr.T was accepted to the prestigious N.Y.U. College of Dentistry, where she received the degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) in 2012. She graduated Summa Cum Laude and was the top of her class at N.Y.U. and earned her membership in the national dental honor society Omicron Kappa Upsilon. This honor is achieved only by a select few each year. Following this, she moved to Chicago, where she practiced general dentistry for a few years before relocating to Greenville, SC, with her husband and daughter. "Greenville is home for us now," says Dr. T. Since moving to Greenville, she has practiced pediatric dentistry for the last 7 yrs. Through a decade of her dental career, Dr. T has enjoyed unique opportunities that allowed her to practice and master both adult and pediatric dentistry, which very few dentists work to achieve. In addition to ensuring that she provides state-of-the-art, comprehensive, patient-centered care, she is very passionate about making care accessible and available to all. "Dentistry allows me to touch a patient's life in a very special way." She is exceptionally enthusiastic about serving the whole family and takes immense pride in her ability to connect with kids and adults alike. "The most rewarding part of my day is developing a relationship with the patient before me and seeing them walk away smiling." She goes the extra mile to make her patients feel comfortable through her compassionate and empathetic approach. Dr. T views a positive patient experience as her highest priority and wants every one of her patients to feel well cared for. Dr.Thekkethotiyil maintains active memberships in several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, the South Carolina Dental Association, and the Greenville County Dental Society. She continues to keep herself updated with the latest treatments and technologies by regularly attending continuing education programs in dentistry. She also makes it a priority to bring advanced dental treatments to her patients. A native of Kerala, South India, Dr. T was raised in Oman and returned to India to pursue her Bachelors in Dental Surgery (B.D.S.). She has been in the U.S.A. for over two decades. Dr. T considers herself very fortunate to have lived in different parts of the world and experienced various cultures. This global exposure has given her a sense of admiration and respect for multiple cultures in her personal and professional life.
