Dr William D. Payne

Dr. William D. Payne grew up and lived most of his life in the Willamette Valley. He graduated from Oregon Health Sciences University Dental School in 1989. Over the last 25 plus years, Dr. Payne was the owner and operator of a successful dental practice in Salem, OR focusing on cosmetic and family dentistry. Dr. Payne’s passion for continual learning led to training in full mouth reconstructions, Invisalign, esthetics, sleep apnea treatments, periodontal laser therapy (LANAP) and TMD solutions. He also spends time doing volunteer dentistry at the Creston Children’s Dental Clinic. Looking for a lifestyle change, Dr. Payne sold his Salem practice in December 2015 and moved his wife, two college aged kids and a middle schooler to the Columbia River Gorge to be closer to the activities he and his family love. Kiteboarding, stand up paddle, skiing and hiking are just a few of the fun things that his family enjoys. Ask him about his families 50 pound tortoise “Bowser”! Dr. Payne appreciates collaborating with the great doctors and team at Hood River Dental. He is happy to be providing his years of experience of quality, comfortable dental treatments to the community of Hood River.
