Dr. Vener has resided in the Harrisburg area since 2009. He received his Bachelor of Health Sciences from Lock Haven University in 1994 and his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Temple University School of Dentistry in 1999. Following completion of his dental degree, Dr. Vener joined the US Navy where he served as a general dentist, both state-side and overseas. In 2003, he pursued advanced training in Periodontics and implants through a three-year surgical residency at the Naval Post-Graduate Dental School, receiving both his Periodontics certificate and a Master Degree in Health Sciences from George Washington University in 2006. Dr. Vener left active military service in 2009 but continued his affiliation with the US Navy Reserves until he retired from service in 2023. He is also a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Dental Association, and the Harrisburg Area Dental Society, where he has served as a past president. On a personal note, Dr. Vener enjoys being with his family and friends, engaging in a love of travel, reading and outdoor activities of all kinds.
