Dr. Vijay Munagala, DDS MPH, acquired the practice in 2012 from the original founder Dr. Dale Westerhout, who established it in the late 1960s. Dr. Munagala practices conservative, proactive dentistry utilizing the latest in dental technology. His goal is to help patients reach and maintain optimal dental health with minimal discomfort and time spent in the office. Dr. Munagala and staff have over 30 years of experience and are passionate about providing the highest quality dental care with a gentle touch in a comfortable environment. He is a volunteer dentist at the Veterans and free dental camps for underserved populations, consults at non-profit La Clinica centers in Alameda and Contra Costa counties, and assists in clinical instruction and teaching dental students/residents for UCSF and UOP dental programs at public health clinics and camps.
