Born and raised in Boone, I am back where it all started. Upon graduating from Watauga High School, I attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where I earned a BS in Biology. After a short detour, thinking I wanted to be an equine veterinarian, I returned to Chapel Hill and began my education at UNC School of Dentistry, in August 2011. Flash forward to May 2015 when I walked across the stage receiving my Doctorate of Dental Surgery, with honors. Having been away from the Blue Ridge Mountains for nearly a decade, I was excited to “come home” and begin my professional dental career. The opportunity to return to Boone and work with my father is the chance of a lifetime. I truly believe providing excellent dental care is a key to total body health. With this practice, I look forward to continuing dental care excellence that my father established 47 years ago. In my spare time I enjoy spending time outdoors, being a mountain girl and all. My husband, Grayson and I have two fur-babies Tuesday and Zara, that keep us entertained. Horses are still my passion and I jump at any chance to ride. I also love curling up with a good book and cheering on my Tar Heels in any sport. My blood runs Carolina blue! Although it may be old-fashioned of us, we just can’t help wanting to take care of our patients.
