Dr. Pardue was born and raised in North Carolina, attending Mill Creek Middle and Bandys High Schools right here in Catawba County. Inspired by his dad, a lawyer and the first in his family to go to college, Dr. Pardue wanted to follow in those footsteps to pursue a career that would be fulfilling intellectually while helping others. Naturally curious, he explored the medical field and was drawn to dentistry’s flexible, hands-on work and rewarding patient relationships. At the same time, he had a personal interest in the history of military conflict. Dr. Pardue earned his bachelor’s degree in Peace War and Defense at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, while completing all science courses required for dental school, and serving as both Treasurer and President of the pre-dental honor society there. He took a year after undergrad to work on dental sleep apnea research at UNC Adams School of Dentistry under Dr. Greg Essick. He went on to earn his DDS at UNC Adams School of Dentistry and was selected by his peers to serve as Treasurer for his class there. He commissioned with the U.S. Navy and served for five years, stationed first at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton and finally Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island.
