Dr. Michael Gomella was born outside of Philadelphia and has fallen in love with the north suburbs of Chicago since moving here after dental school. He received a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Vermont and received his dental education at the University of Maryland. Michael’s interest in dentistry began after studying taste in college and at the National Institutes of Health where he completed a postbac fellowship prior to dental school. Michael completed a rigorous residency program in general dentistry through the University of Chicago at Evanston Hospital. He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and regularly attends continuing education courses on all topics of general dentistry. Michael always puts his patients first and is excited to serve the Highland Park community! Outside of the office, Michael is an avid baker and cook. He and his wife Kristi enjoy traveling, trying new restaurants, and exploring new neighborhoods with their golden retriever, Bella. Make sure to chat with Michael at your next dental appointment about your favorite restaurant or any new recipes you’ve tried.
