Dr Joon Hyuk Kim

Dr. Kim truly believes dentistry is a fusion of art and science that should be catered to each patient’s needs. He embarked on his educational journey at University of California, San Diego, where he earned his B.S in Microbiology. After completion of dental program at University of Southern California, where he earned The Rex Ingraham Award for Outstanding Achievement in Clinical Operative Dentistry, he decided to start his dental career in Wisconsin. After spending years working with a broad range of patients at various levels of dental health, he finally decided to move to Illinois where he hopes to settle with his family. As a general dentist, Dr. Kim’s career goal is to never lose the passion for the field and provide patient centered care with empathy. As he believes that a beautiful and confident smile always stems from continued oral health care, he focuses on providing comfortable dental experience, educating patients about cutting edge and conservative treatments, and empowering each patient in a decision-making process with open communication. When Dr Kim is not at work, he frequently engages in Continuing Education to expend his knowledge and skill set. He accomplishes well above the required hours by the state each year. He is also interested in art history, painting with acrylics, swimming, and exploring the great city of Chicago, to name a few. Dr. Kim is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry and is Invisalign certified and Botox trained. Dr. Kim considers the Midwest her home and was thrilled to move back after graduation. She is pleased to be serving the Greater Chicago area as a General Dentist. Dr. Kim is passionate about maintaining the oral health of all of her patients, and she is committed to providing her patients with comfortable and quality dental care. In her spare time, she loves cooking, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
