Dr. Munley was born and raised in Sugar Notch, Pennsylvania. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychobiology from Hamilton College and his Doctorate in Dental Medicine from Temple University School of Dentistry. Upon graduation he was commissioned as a Dental Officer in the United States Navy where he served for 20 years. During this time, he completed a two-year Postgraduate Endodontics residency training at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, twice receiving the top resident award among all specialties. He also obtained a Masters Degree in Oral Biology from George Washington University. Dr. Munley is married to Lisa Ishikawa of Honolulu, Hawaii. They have three children, Malia, Patrick and Maya. In his free time, Dr. Munley enjoys attending his children’s sporting and theatre activities and following Notre Dame football.
