Dr Thomas Dudney

Originally from Kingsport, Tennessee, Dr. Thomas Dudney has been in private practice in Alabaster for over 40 years. What motivates him in his work today is the same thing that sparked his interest in dentistry as a child — his desire to help people. For Dr. Dudney, the most rewarding aspect of his profession is changing the lives of people who are hesitant to smile due to the condition of their teeth. His commitment to his patients is evident through the way he treats them like family, respects their time at appointments, and prioritizes their comfort during treatment. Dr. Dudney has received nationwide renown as a leader in cosmetic dentistry. He has lectured at major dental conventions and published a number of articles on aesthetic and restorative dentistry. He has served as the Clinical Director of hands-on programs for multiple cosmetic dentistry training organizations, including Pacific Aesthetic Continuum, Aesthetic Advantage, and the California Center for Advanced Dental Studies. His current teaching endeavor is a live patient program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. In his free time, Dr. Dudney enjoys golfing, traveling, and spending time with his family. He and his wife of 50 years, Diane, have three grown children, six grandchildren, and a dog named Sadie.
