Dr. Rabalais is an experienced dental practitioner. In 1966 he graduated from Northeast Louisiana State College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Loyola University in 1970. Dr. Rabalais then served two years in the U.S. Army as a dental officer. While in the military he completed a mini-residency in periodontics which began his interest in that specialty. Following military service he practiced general dentistry for six years. In 1978 he entered the LSU School of Dentistry for post-graduate studies in Periodontics. He received his Certificate in Periodontics in 1980. Dr. Rabalais has over 35 years experience serving patients from all over South Louisiana. He specializes in the diagnosis, prevention, evaluation, and treatment of gum disease using techniques including LANAP laser gum surgery, Pinhole Surgical Technique, periodontal plastic surgery, scaling/root planing, and sedation.
