Dr. Neil Welborne is from Charlotte and graduated from East Mecklenburg High School in 1983. He attended North Carolina State University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Zoology. He then attended The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he received a Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1992. He spent a year working for the North Carolina Health Department and a year as an Associate in a Statesville practice with Dr. M.L. Dorton before beginning this practice in 1994. Originally, Dr. Welborne practiced solo, but eventually, the practice expanded to include Dr. White and then Dr. Welborne, White, and Schmidt. Dr. Welborne is a member of the American Dental Association, North Carolina Dental Society, and Seattle Study Club. He has received the Best of the Lake Award for the past 5 years in a row. He is certified in Invisalign and Sedation Dentistry.
