Dr. Rafael Mendez graduated from the University of Puerto Rico with a Bachelor of Science in Natural Sciences before earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine in 2002. During dental school he received the Raymond Baralt Award honoring his professionalism, leadership, and passion for dentistry. Before joining Northlake Dental, Dr. Mendez spent two decades serving families across Puerto Rico and eastern North Carolina. He has owned and led multiple practices and remains active in the International Association for Orthodontics.
