Dr. Kelly L. Kalmar was raised in Greenlawn and is a proud graduate of Harborfields High School. She then attended Ithaca College where she earned a B.A. degree in Biology and received her D.M.D. degree from Boston University School of Dental Medicine. Upon graduation she completed a two-year General Practice residency at Nassau University Medical Center and went on to become the Director of Dentistry at that same program. In 1998 Dr. Kelly was ready to return to Huntington, where she joined Kalmar Family Dentistry, which was established by her father, Dr. Gregory W. Kalmar in 1974. They practiced together here on Green Street in Huntington until his retirement in 2018. Dr. Kelly Kalmar is one of the founding members of the Long Island Female Dental Association. She is also one of the founding members and an officer of a local charity group called Dentist for a Better Huntington. Dr. Kelly is a member of the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association, the Suffolk County Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.
