Growing up Dr. Niloufar Danesh was influenced by her mother who was a periodontist and a professor. Witnessing the close relationship she had with her patients, and how she truly improved their quality of life inspired her to pursue a career in Periodontology. Shortly after graduating from dental school, Dr. Danesh pursued her passion for Community Health and Wellness, to study Public Health at Texas A &M University. While there, she researched factors affecting periodontal health and identified the close relationship between periodontal and systemic health. Her next endeavor was a residency in Periodontology and Dental Implants. Dr. Danesh completed her training and received her master’s degree and Certificate in Periodontology from Indiana University School of Dentistry where she graduated top of her class. Dr. Danesh is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, which is one of the highest recognitions of achievement awarded by the specialty.
