Dr. Victor Sun combines an engineer’s precision with compassionate dental care. Originally from California, he earned degrees in biomedical engineering at UC Irvine before completing his Doctor of Dental Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. After dental school, Dr. Sun commissioned as a dental officer in the United States Air Force and completed a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry. For seven years, he cared for Airmen and their families at bases across the U.S. and the U.K., even serving roles outside of dentistry. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he helped administer vaccines, and when he deployed to the U.A.E. as the Inspector General, he coordinated readiness exercises and handled inspections and complaints. He also led triage teams during mass casualty drills, developing skills in crisis management and leadership. Dr. Sun’s military background has shaped his calm, organised approach to patient care. Now based in Ithaca, where his wife works at Cornell University, he focuses on conservative, technology-driven treatments that maximise tooth longevity. When he’s not seeing patients, he enjoys cooking, making coffee, and travelling with his wife.
