Dr. Lizette Castillo received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Stony Brook - College of Dentistry. She is a Long Beach native, having graduated from Long Beach High School. She received a Bachelors of Science from Stony Brook in Biology. She discovered her passion for dentistry when she was in college at Stony Brook, she volunteered at Stony Brook Dental School and there she saw the need for oral education and treatment. She also took on an internship in Temple Dental in summer of 2015 where she served inner city areas in North Philadelphia, where she was exposed to translating and helping patients with understanding their treatments. Before coming to Elmhurst Dental as a dentist, Dr. Castillo completed two year of residency at Jamaica Hospital– School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Castillo participated in the Stony Brook Outreach- South Dakota where she provided dental care for patients in need on an Indian reservation.
