Dan K. Young, DMD, graduated from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine in 1999 and began practicing soon after at Young Family & Cosmetic Dentistry in Joplin, MO. Dr. Young’s dedication to learning has led him to study with several of the dental profession's leading clinical educators. He is a graduate of the Nash Institute for Dental Learning, the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Study, and the Scottsdale Center for Dental Learning. In the area of orthodontics and development, Dr. Young completed the Rondeau Seminars Orthodontic Courses and numerous Invisalign courses, as well as courses in TMJ and Obstructive Sleep Apnea. Dr. Young completed The Clinical Mastery Series curriculum, including Ultimate Occlusion Levels 1, 2 & 3, Advanced Treatment Planning, Clinical Photography, and Full Mouth Rehabilitation. There, his skill and understanding of full mouth reconstruction, cosmetic dentistry, and utilization of "cutting edge" dental technology like Biometric equipment from Bio Research Associates and T-Scan computer bite analysis were developed. Most recently, Dr. Young completed a dental implant surgical mini residency at the McGarry Implant Institute, a leading education facility for the surgical placement and restoring of Dental Implants. Technology and its application in providing state-of-the-art, comprehensive dental care is the cornerstone of Young Family & Cosmetic Dentistry and is evident in the extensive training Dr. Young has in all areas of Modern Dentistry. Dr. Young is a member of American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, The American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Society, and Southwest Missouri Dental Society.
