Dr. Sexton was born and raised in Morristown. His father was a dentist, and his mother was a dental hygienist. This, combined with his desire to serve the community and help people, greatly influenced his career choice. After graduating from Morristown West, he attended Walters State Community College in Morristown. He received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) in Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Sexton has been practicing dentistry in Morristown for more than 30 years since joining his father’s practice in 1987. Continuing education and keeping up with new developments in dentistry are important to Dr. Sexton. He has continued to study, completing Continuums 1-5 at the The Pankey Institute in Florida. He also completed courses in Occlusion, Restorative Design, and Facially Generated Treatment Planning at Spear Education in Scottsdale, Arizona. Patients trust Dr. Sexton and appreciate his exceptional attention to detail. He’s always striving to provide the best treatment possible for his valued patients. Outside of the dental practice, Dr. Sexton enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He and his wife, Connie, are active members at Heritage Fellowship Church in Jefferson City, Tennessee. He also enjoys working in his yard, watching Tennessee sports, playing the guitar, singing, and enjoying musical theater.
