Dr Nia Zacharia

Dr. Nia Zacharia is a Knoxville native who brings both technical expertise and a compassionate, patient centered approach to her dental care. She earned her degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Tennessee–Knoxville in 2008 and her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 2012. She then completed a General Practice Residency at The Brooklyn Hospital Center in New York in 2013 and practiced in New York City for several years before returning home to East Tennessee. After more than seven years at a private practice in Maryville, Dr. Zacharia is excited to join University General Dentists. She is committed to lifelong learning and is looking forward to mentoring the next generation of dentists. Passionate about serving others, she has participated in both local and international dental missions. Dr. Zacharia enjoys cosmetic dentistry and specializes in the treatment of temporomandibular disorders (TMD). She takes a comprehensive, detail-oriented approach to smile design creating natural, balanced results, and provides individualized, conservative care for patients experiencing TMD pain. Known for her patient-centered philosophy, she is dedicated to delivering exceptional, personalized care. Outside the office, she enjoys reading, spending time with her family, swimming, traveling, and hiking.
