Dr. Foust graduated from the University of Tennessee Centre for Health Sciences in Memphis, TN. After graduation he spent over a year in Charlotte, North Carolina functioning as a children’s dentist with the Mecklenburg County Health Department. Upon returning to his hometown of Knoxville he opened his private practice in its current location just south of downtown. Dr. Foust has spent his professional years developing his skills through extensive continuing education. He is fortunate to have been taught by a number of well-respected mentors known worldwide. This esteemed list includes his mentors in the Florida Dento-Facial Study Club, Dr. Carl Gugino and Dr. Donnie Myers since 1987, Dr. Mike Schuster of the Schuster Centre for Professional Development, Dr. William Brandt, UT Health Science Centre, Memphis, and Dr. Michael Couch of CaringQuest, Ocala, Florida. Additionally he was trained by Dr. John Chao, Alhambra, California in the Pinhole Surgical Technique (PST®) for scalpel-free gum recession correction. Through their mentoring Dr. Foust has incorporated many technologies he learned from them into his own practice such as Cone Beam X-rays and neuromuscular technologies to aid in his treatment of patients with muscular dysfunction and orthodontic challenges.
