Dr. Turner P. Emery is a native Knoxvillian. He attended the University of the South, graduating with a BA in 1998. He attended the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry where he received his DDS in May 2002. He received his MD from the University of Florida College of Medicine in May 2005 and completed his general surgery residency and residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Florida and its affiliated hospitals in 2008. Dr. Emery enjoys all aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery and focuses on the management/removal of impacted teeth, dental implants, hard and soft tissue grafting, facial trauma, corrective jaw surgery, management of oral pathology and surgical management of the TMJ. Dr. Emery is affiliated with several regional hospitals including The University of Tennessee Medical Center and East Tennessee Children’s Hospital, where he is a member of the Cleft and Craniofacial Team. Dr. Emery is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is also a member of several professional organizations including the American Dental Association, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American College of Surgeons and the Tennessee Medical Association, among others.
