Dr. Greg Gilcrease is a San Marcos native, graduating from San Marcos High School and Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State University) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He completed his dental training at the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston, receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1987. He then entered private practice with his father in San Marcos, who started the practice in 1965. Dr. Gilcrease practiced with his father for 24 years until his father's passing in 2010. He continues to provide exceptional patient care at Gilcrease Dental. He stays up to date on the latest advancements in dentistry to provide current treatment options. He has served as team dentist for the Midland Angels AA Baseball Team (1987-1989) and for the Texas State University Athletic Department (1999-present). He is a member of the Academy of Gp Orthodontics, American Dental Implant Association, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association (served as delegate to the TDA House of Delegates 1996-2002), and River District Dental Society (President 1999-2000).
