Dr. Addison is a compassionate Endodontist. She was born in Cuba but raised on the sunny island of New Providence, Bahamas. Dr. Addison earned her Bachelor of Science in Cell and Molecular Biology with a minor in Public Health from the University of South Florida. After a year of working as a Radiography Technician at a local pediatric dental clinic during her university studies, she decided to pursue a career as a dentist herself. She then went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Medicine at the University of Florida. During this time, Dr. Addison held various leadership positions, including leading a humanitarian dental trip to St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, and serving as the student liaison for Marion County's FreeDOM clinic. In addition, through her dedication to advancing the field of dentistry, she has received various publications and awards, including the Hinman Award, the National Dental Association Colgate Research Award, and, most recently, the Excellence in Research award at the University of Florida's Spring Synergy. Dr. Addison completed a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency with New York University in Fort Myers, Florida. Shortly after, she began her residency at the University of Florida College of Dentistry, where she served as Chief Resident and completed her Master of Science Degree in Endodontics. Dr. Addison is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, and the American Association of Endodontics.
