Known for his gentleness, patience and attention to detail, you will see the great care he takes in everything he does. During your appointment he is there with you, and not in and out of the room. He wants to listen, to know you as a person, and to build a relationship with you. “I care about people,” he says. “I do everything possible to make each person’s experience positive and when I am with them, I am focused on them. With the compassionate staff by his side, he is excited to offer dental care like nothing you have experienced before! “I want to make a difference in how people feel about themselves and about the dentist.” You are not just a number at Avalon Dental Spa. Dr. Rick takes as long as it takes to treat you, no rush, no hurry. He desires to be as conservative as possible while creating beautiful smiles. He will address your concerns carefully and thoughtfully. Part of his genius is in his ability to listen to you, hear your questions, and endeavor to explain what he’s doing as he does it. The design found in the “Green House by City Park” is an indication of Dr. Rick’s keen attention to detail. This is also apparent in his pursuit of excellence in orthodontics for over 30 years. His continuing training opens new insights into the connection between proper breathing and normal facial development. After Dr. Robertson graduated from Purdue University (the school that he holds closest to his heart) with a degree in Biology, he wanted to become a dentist to help people, not to hurt them. Having been admitted a year early to dental school, he received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from Indiana University School of Dentistry. His diligent pursuit of orthodontic training with experts from all over the world began in 1986. “I don’t want anyone to sit waiting for me.” Dr. Rick believes everyone’s time is just as valuable as his.
