Dr. J. Jerome Smith graduated cum laude from the University of Louisiana, then graduated from LSU School of Dentistry in 1980. He has been practicing comprehensive, state-of-the-art dentistry for the past 40 years with particular emphasis on implant dentistry and comprehensive adult reconstructive care. Among Dr. Smith’s many career highlights are receiving recognition as a Diplomate for the International Congress of Oral Implantology and serving as a Past Continuing Education Chairman for the Academy of General Dentistry. He also serves as Adjunct Assistant Clinical Professor at LSU School of Dentistry. He is co-founder of the Mexico Medical/Dental project in conjunction with Latin World Ministries 26 years ago. He and Dr. Domingue have accompanied hundreds of dental students from LSU School of Dentistry and A.T. Still School of Dentistry (Mesa, AR) along with physicians, nurses and other volunteers to help provide medical and dental care of those in the state of Guerrero, Mexico with little or no access to care.
