Dr. Owen Allison grew up in York County PA, graduating from York Suburban High School in 1967. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Temple University and went on to graduate from the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Allison spent two years in the Naval Dental Corps stationed in Norfolk, VA. He then returned to Pittsburgh and associated with a local family practice. In the early 1980s Dr. Allison and his wife Linda decided to move their young family back to south central PA to set up his current practice in Lancaster County. Today the Allison’s have two grown children, Olivia and Justin. Although suitably characterized as a general dentist, Dr. Allison and his staff provide a breadth of dental services to a growing number of patients and families in throughout Central PA. Dr. Allison has maintained a safe, mercury-free practice for over a decade and a half. Dr. Allison is a member of the American Dental Association, the Pennsylvania Dental Association, the Lancaster County Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Allison has a special interest in holistic health care and has trained extensively in energy medicine with the Central Pennsylvania Institute of Healing Therapies. Aside from his expertise in general dental care, Dr. Allison is fully accredited with the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology, the leading coalition of mercury-free dentists worldwide. Susquehanna Dental Arts is also a certified member of The Centers for Dental Medicine, which views dentistry as a whole-body discipline.
