Dr. Guthrie grew up in southern West Virginia and was raised by his grandfather, Larry. He attended Sissonville High School where he played soccer. Dr. Guthrie graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology. He continued his education in Colorado to receive a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences degree from Colorado State University. Dr. Guthrie then returned home to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from West Virginia University where he met his wife, Dr. Renee Guthrie. After school they moved to Lancaster County where they reside with their golden retriever and two cats. In his free time, Dr. Guthrie enjoys exercising, being outdoors, and attending Hershey Bears hockey games. Go Bears! Dr. Guthrie enjoys keeping up to date with new advances in dentistry through continuing education and is a member of the American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
