For over three decades, Dr. J. Derek Tieken has been transforming lives with expert cosmetic and restorative dentistry, helping patients achieve not only healthier smiles but newfound confidence. A native of Dickinson, TX, Dr. Tieken knew from the age of eight that he wanted to be a dentist. His passion for both science and hands-on artistry led him to Baylor University, where he earned his BS in Biology/Pre-Dental Studies, before completing his DDS at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. Dr. Tieken’s commitment to excellence and innovation has made him one of the most recognized dentists in the region. Outside the office, Dr. Tieken is a dedicated philanthropist, spearheading initiatives like the Bay Area Makeover Team, which provides life-changing dental care to deserving community members. He is an active board member of the Lunar Rendezvous Scholarship Program, helping local students access higher education. He is also the author of two books, Million Dollar Smile: Changing Lives With Cosmetic Dentistry (co-authored with experts in the field) and Mind, Body, Soul, and Smile: A Holistic Approach to Dentistry.
