Dr. Seume was born and raised on the northwest side of Houston. He graduated from Jersey Village High School with honors. He also lettered in soccer and enjoyed extracurricular activities such as art. From there Dr. Seume attended UT Austin where he attained a BA in Biology and graduated Magnum Cum Lade. During the summer of 1992, Dr. Seume worked for the Boy Scouts in Ely, Minnesota as a wilderness guide in the Boundary Waters Canoeing Area. He attended dental school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He graduated Magnum Cum Lade with a Doctorate in Dental Surgery in May of 1998. Dr. Seume purchased Hitchcock Dental in November of the same year from Dr. Don Chapman. In March of 1999, Dr. Seume married his wife, Kat. They live in Pearland with their two children, Mary and Ricky. They attend First United Methodist Church of Pearland where he is involved in the Men’s Ministry. Dr. Seume enjoys having a small-town dental practice and is actively involved in the community of Hitchcock. He is a two-time past president of the Hitchcock Chamber of Commerce and a current board member. He always participates in the annual Hitchcock Good Ole Days festival, volunteering where needed during the weekend. He is also a member of the Mainland Rotary Club. He supports youth sports, as well as the local Boy Scouts, and Girl Scouts. Two of Dr. Seume’s favorite past times are duck hunting and fishing.
