Dr James D. Gentry

Dr. James D. Gentry has been practicing dentistry in Kansas City since 1988. He grew up surrounded by the dental field with his grandfather and uncle practicing dentists, and his mother a dental hygienist. He attended the University of Missouri-Columbia and obtained his Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) from Washington University in St. Louis. He furthered his education with a General Practice Residency at the Dwight D. Eisenhower VA Medical Center in Leavenworth, Kansas. Dr. Gentry opened his first practice at 87th and State Line Rd in 1988 where he began his family-style approach to dentistry. Surrounded by his mother as his hygienist and father as business manager, treating each patient like a member of the family came naturally. He practiced at this location until 2008 when he moved Gentry Dental to its current location in Leawood. His compassionate, patient-centered care has never altered.
