Dr. Steven Dunning is a native of Plainville, a small town in northwest Kansas. Dr. Dunning completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Kansas and Kansas State University. While at the University of Kansas he was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity. Dr. Dunning received his D.D.S. from Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, Nebraska, in 1983, graduating in the top ten percent of his class. While at Creighton he was selected for membership into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the National Honorary Dental Society for senior students 'showing proficiency during the entire course of dentistry as well as for character and conduct.' Dr. Dunning was the 1983 recipient of the American College of Dentists Award 'in recognition of professional and ethical achievement as exemplified by the record of clinical and scholastic performance in undergraduate dental education' for the Nebraska Section. Dr. Dunning opened his practice in Belton, Missouri in 1983. Dr. Dunning is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Orthodontics Association, the American College of Oral Implantology, the Belton Chamber of Commerce and the Adrian Chamber of Commerce.
