Dr Poonam Popat

Dr. Poonam Popat was raised in Orlando, FL. In 2009 she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Micro and Molecular Biology at the University of Central Florida. In 2013 she completed her Doctorate in Dental Medicine from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL. After graduating, Dr. Popat began practicing as a General Dentist. She continued her education to expand her skills and be able to offer the most up-to-date care for her patients. Dr. Popat got married in 2017 to her husband Preet. Together they enjoy international travel and going on adventures. Dr. Popat continued her passion for dentistry in Austin, TX. While in Texas, she discovered her love for hiking and food trucks. When Dr. Popat and her husband were expecting their first child, they moved back to Florida to be close to family. Dr Popat has a son named Shayden and a daughter named Kahani. During her years of travel, Dr. Popat has remained constant in her passion for dentistry. In 2021, Dr. Popat joined the Highland Lakes Dental team. Dr. Popat strives to provide each patient with a customized treatment plan that meets their needs and makes them smile. Dr. Popat is passionate about optimizing the oral health of every patient she gets the opportunity to care for.
