Dr. Monson, a long-term Lexington resident, graduated from the University of Kentucky: College of Dentistry in 2008. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from Transylvania University and graduated from Dunbar High School. As a Transy student, Dr. Monson earned an appointment to the prestigious Regents College in London England for a semester of study. Beginning in his student years, Dr. Monson developed a tradition of service to the community. He served as the Philanthropy Chair for the Kappa Alpha Order at Transylvania University. During his tenure at UK, Dr. Monson participated in educational workshops at the Kentucky State Fair as well as the Lexington Children’s Museum. For the past four years he has been very active in the Dentistry from the Heart program providing one day of free dental care for those in need. Dr. Monson is a member of the American Dental Association, Kentucky Dental Association, Bluegrass Dental Society, Academy of Osseointegration, and the American Academy of Clear Aligners. He has vast experience in dentistry including Rotary Endodontic; Oral Surgery; Removable Prosthodontics (i.e. dentures and partials); Implantology; Restorative Crown and Bridge Work and Pediatric. Dr. Monson is married and has two children. In his spare time, he enjoys church league softball, an occasional round of golf with family and friends, and spending time at Lake Cumberland.
