Mr John Fischer,

Dr. Fischer graduated from the University of Nebraska College of Dentistry and did his undergraduate studies at the University of Nebraska earning a Bachelor of Science degree. He grew up in rural southeast Nebraska and went to high school at Falls city Sacred Heart. His parents were health care providers and had a horse farm. He has two brothers and a sister, and they spent many hours helping their mom and dad with the horses. Doctor Fischer traveled to numerous horse shows and showed the family horses to a number of World Championships. Because of a long line of health care providers in his family, he grew up following around his family as they cared for people and saw the enjoyment it brought to their patients and knew he wanted to do something similar. While working on his bachelor's degree, dentistry came calling. Dr. Fischer has been married to his wife, Shelly, for 30+ years and she also has made a career in dentistry as a dental hygienist. She also will be joining Williamsburg Dental. They have two children, Bianca and Brittany, who both work as healthcare professionals. They are also blessed with a wonderful son-in-law and granddaughter. Doctor Fischer enjoys spending time with family and has hobbies of woodworking and gardening. Dr. Fischer has spent most of his career, 15+ years, owning and practicing dentistry in rural Nebraska and Kansas. Now that he lives in the Lincoln area, he has joined up with a leader in high quality dental care, Williamsburg Dental. Throughout his career the thing he has enjoyed the most is the relationships he has developed with his patients. Relationships have been very important to his success as well. The doctor-patient relationship has allowed him to work together with his patients in deciding the path they want to go on with their dental health. Besides the relationships, Dr. Fischer finds the creative and artistic side of dentistry to be very satisfying. Dr. Fischer has always found it very important to continually improve upon his skills. He has attended some of the most prominent advanced education institutes over the years that have helped him to provide the highest quality of care available. These include the Pankey Institute, the Dawson Center for Advanced Education, and the Schuster Center for Professional Development. Dr. also has been certified in facial esthetic procedures including Botox and dermal filler. He annually attends educational classes about new dental materials and techniques available to provide his patients with the most up-to-date dentistry. Dr. Fischer strives to provide each patient with a thorough, high quality, pain free patient experience. We treat everyone like they are family!
