Dr. Owyoung graduated from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) with Bachelor of Science degrees in Biochemistry/Cell Biology and Management Science. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry (USC). Upon the completion of dental school, Dr. Owyoung was trained at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) to achieve his specialty certificate in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry and a Master of Science degree in Biomaterials/Oral Biology. He has lectured and published on topics including Chronic Disease Prevention and Oral Health Promotion, Dental Biomaterials, and Oral Implantology. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his two daughters, running, or playing/watching basketball.
