Dr James Cheng

Dr. James Cheng is a Georgia native, an enthusiastic skier, and rock climbs for fun! Above all, he is a talented, skilled, kindhearted dentist that has dedicated his career to serving others. After growing up in Augusta, Dr. James attended the University of Georgia where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Microbiology. He even spent some time in Ecuador on a medical entomology trip teaching elementary kids in underserved communities! Dr. James attended dental school at the Dental College of Georgia, followed by an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the Birmingham VA Medical Center. He has continued his post-graduate education through advanced courses in implant placement and restoration, esthetic and cosmetic dentistry, endodontics, surgical dentistry, and sleep apnea solutions. Dr. James is dedicated to providing the best outcome for patients, blending his technical skills and compassion to give patients the beautiful smiles they desire and deserve. Before settling in Loganville, Dr. James even taught dentistry as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine! When Dr. James isn't studying up on the latest and greatest dental techniques or creating beautiful smiles, he enjoys spending time with his wife and bernedoodle, Juna.
