Dr. Saigusa joined our practice of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery founded by Dr. James B. Holton over 20 years ago. Through the thriving medical community of East Texas and the vision of our founder, Dr. Saigusa has been actively practicing a broad spectrum of oral and facial surgery, including dental implants and facial trauma. Born in Tokyo, Japan, Dr. Saigusa came to the United States while still a teenager, finishing his senior year of high school as an exchange student in the small farming community of Markesan, Wisconsin. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, and earned a D.M.D. from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry. In 1991, he moved to Texas to attend medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. After receiving his M.D. and completing his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, he moved to Tyler in 1997 to join the practice of Dr. James Holton. Dr. Saigusa resides in Tyler with his wife, Jill, and two sons.
