Dr. Chang grew up in the Bay Area and graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Nutritional Sciences. After graduating, she took a risk by responding to a Craigslist ad to participate in a pilot dental assisting program. The program connected her to an externship at a community clinic in her hometown, which solidified her interest in becoming a dentist to serve her community. Following a year of assisting, she left the Bay Area to study at UCLA School of Dentistry. Upon graduation, she completed a General Practice Residency at VA Mare Island. Dr. Chang is passionate about providing quality dental care and aims to make all her patients feel welcomed and comfortable. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Chang enjoys hiking, exploring new national parks, and trying new restaurants and cafes. She’s also fulfilling her dream of owning a coffee shop by currently holding weekend at-home cafes and inviting her friends to taste her creations.
