Dr William Newman

Dr. William Newman grew up in Louisville, attending Saint Agnes and Saint Xavier High School. He then attended the University of Kentucky for undergraduate studies prior to completing his dental degree through the University of Louisville in 2016. After a one year advanced dental residency in North Carolina, Dr. Newman returned to Louisville, where he worked as a dentist in Oldham County. In 2019, he met and began to work with Dr. Timothy Wahl, and eventually took over the practice upon his retirement in 2022. Dr. Newman was drawn to the practice because of its history and tradition, having originated in the 1970s and being a trusted and comfortable place for generations of families. In 2023, Dr. Newman renamed the practice Perennial Dental, incorporating its history as a dental home for generations, and designing a calm and comfortable environment inspired by nature. Dr. Newman was inspired to be a dentist after he had a dental injury which required multiple dental procedures. At the time, he was feeling extreme dental pain, a worrying insecurity of people judging him by the appearance of his teeth, and terrified about the treatments that would be required. His dentist made him feel safe and comfortable during the many dental appointments, and was sensitive to his fears and emotions throughout the process. As a result of this experience, Dr. Newman was filled with overwhelming gratitude for his dentist and knew that he wanted to provide the same feeling to others. Dr. Newman’s personal mission is to make every patient feel safe and comfortable throughout their time at the dental office, and ultimately to provide them with a positive outlook and peace of mind about their dental health. When Dr. Newman isn’t in the office, you can find him spending time with his family enjoying the wonderful parks around Louisville.
