Dr. Maria R. Burmaster earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Loyola University and then attended Louisiana State University School of Dentistry from 1989-1993. She earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery with her sister, Dr. Valerie, who also graduated in May of 1993. Dr. Maria has been a member of the New Orleans Dental Association, the Louisiana Dental Association and the American Dental Association since 1993. She is also a member of the Crescent City Study Club, a branch of the Seattle Study Club. Dr. Maria attended the Center for Advanced Dental Studies in St. Petersburg to advance her knowledge of TMJ diagnosis and treatment, Invisalign and many other continued education courses relevant to achieving the highest quality care for her patients. She participates in Donated Dental Services which is a national humanitarian program developed by the National Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped. Dr. Burmaster has advanced training in the treatment of TMJ and complex dental problems affecting the bite. Both Dr. Burmaster and Dr. Hemphill have obtained AAFE certification from the American Academy of Facial Esthetics and are trained to provide Botox and Dermal Fillers.
