Dr Elena Duren

Dr Elena Duren grew up in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Immediately after graduating college, she left for Kandahar, Afghanistan to serve military personnel. While working on Kandahar Air Field, Dr Duren met her future husband who was serving in the U.S. Army National Guard during his overseas deployment. Her husband, Reuben, joined the infantry unit following the September 11, 2001 attacks. He is still a proud member of the US armed forces. The two years of work in a combat zone made a more personal impact on Dr Duren than anticipated. She developed a true passion for helping people in need. Ever since her experience overseas, she felt the need to broaden her horizons and decided to pursue a career in dental medicine. After graduating from Medical University of South Carolina School of Dental Medicine, Dr Duren and her husband decided to move to the beautiful city of Charlotte where she worked as a general dentist. Although city life has its perks, Dr Elena and Reuben eventually moved the family to the Midland-Locust area and opened their own office to serve the local community. Dr Duren is a board-certified general dentist who takes pride in treating patients of all ages.
