I am a native of Seattle, Washington. As a young child, I always knew that I wanted to be in the healthcare field and by the time I turned 12, I knew I wanted to be a dentist. In high school, I would spend time shadowing at my dentist’s office which furthered my desire to pursue a career in dentistry. After graduating from high school, I attended University of the Pacific in Stockton, California and was accepted into their accelerated pre-dental program. I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Biology. After three short years at the Stockton undergraduate campus, I was ready for dental school. At this time, I accepted placement in the Army’s Health Professions Scholarship Program. I moved to San Francisco to attend dental school at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry and earned my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with honors three years later in 2006. After earning my degree, I served for three years in the US Army as a general dentist. During this time, I met my husband who was also an officer in the US Army and continues to serve today. We have two beautiful children: our son, Ayden, and our daughter, Ashante. After serving on Active Duty, I continued serving our Soldiers as a civilian dentist for several more years. Our military travels brought us to Virginia in 2014 where I began working in private practice and we moved to Chester in 2016.
