Dr. Boris Bacanurschi, born in Moldova, completed four years with honors at Odessa Medical University, Dental School in Ukraine. In 1999, he and his parents moved to Toronto, Canada, where he completed two years at the University of Toronto Life Sciences Program. He relocated to Boston with his wife and two children in 2002 to start the DMD program at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. At Tufts, Dr. Bacanurschi was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society, participated in Honors Programs in Esthetic and Implant Dentistry, and served as a teaching assistant. Graduating Magna Cum Laude from Tufts in 2006, Dr. Bacanurschi is now a Clinical Assistant Professor in Prosthodontics and Operative Dentistry at Tufts. He is the Chairman of the North Metropolitan Dental District and a member of several professional organizations, including OKU, ADA, MDS, and ADEA. In 2012, he was elected a Fellow of the International College of Dentists and graduated from the Engel Institute of Dental Implant Training. He also completed the Tufts Tisch Faculty Fellowship program in 2016. Dr. Bacanurschi continually enhances his expertise through teaching, research, and continuing education in Esthetics, Occlusion, Periodontology, Implantology, and Cosmetic Dentistry. He enjoys spending his free time playing tennis, biking, skiing, and traveling. He also volunteers on dental mission trips to Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
